NovaCloud Data Sovereignty & Privacy Policy
Your Data. Your Infrastructure. Our Commitment.
At NovaCloud, we believe your data should be as high-performing and secure as your servers. This policy outlines how we handle your information with the precision and transparency you expect from an elite cloud partner.
1. Data We Command (What We Collect)
To get you into the driver’s seat, we collect specific data points required for enterprise-grade service:
- Identity & Contact: Name, company details, and your .africa or local email addresses for account management.
- Financial Precision: Billing addresses and payment details for our ZAR-based local billing.
- Technical Footprint: IP addresses, browser types, and resource usage metrics (CPU/RAM/Traffic) used to maintain your 99.99% uptime.
- Support Logs: Transcripts and technical data from your interactions with support@novacloud.africa.
2. The Mission (How We Use Your Data)
We don’t "harvest" data; we use it to power your mission.
- Provisioning: To deploy and scale your high-velocity infrastructure.
- Billing & Transparency: To ensure honest, hourly pricing with zero hidden fees.
- Security & Defense: To monitor for "system drag" or breaches that could threaten the network fleet.
- Communication: To send mission-critical alerts, maintenance windows, and performance updates.
3. The Vault (Data Security)
We treat your data like our Tier III infrastructure—protected by multiple layers of defense.
- Encryption: All sensitive data is encrypted at rest and in transit using industry-leading protocols.
- Access Control: Only authorized NovaCloud engineers with a "need-to-know" status can access backend systems for support purposes.
- Local Sovereignty: Where possible, we prioritize local data residency to align with South African POPIA requirements.
4. Strategic Partners (Third-Party Sharing)
We never sell your data. We only share it with vetted partners essential to your service:
- Upstream Providers: Our backbone partners (like Liquid Telecom) for network routing and stability.
- Financial Gateways: Trusted South African payment processors for secure Rand transactions.
- Legal Compliance: We only disclose data if required by a valid court order or South African law enforcement.
5. Your Digital Rights
Under POPIA and GDPR, you are the master of your data. You have the right to:
- Access & Audit: Request a summary of the data we hold about you.
- Correct & Update: Ensure your account details are as precise as your server configurations.
- The "Right to be Forgotten": Request the deletion of your account and personal data (subject to legal billing retention requirements).
6. Cookies & Tracking
Our dashboard uses essential cookies to keep you logged in and to remember your interface preferences. We do not use intrusive tracking or sell your browsing habits to third-party advertisers.
